I am very pleased to announce that we have a new partner who joins our list of sponsors who support the league and allow you to practice your favorite sport in the best possible conditions. That said the Gagnier team composed of one of ours Remy Babin, will be the official partners of Meteors, champion team of the 2016-2017 season in the LFA. With now 7 teams out of 8 in the central division who have a partner we only have to find another company to support the Barbarians and other partners for our different products such as some of our cups, the stats section, the player of game etc.

I will teach you nothing by saying that doing sport is good for the body and the mind, but being part of a team sport pushes the concept itself even further. Although people generally think that therapy is only for people with identity, couple or life crisis issues, it's actually good for everyone to share with others what we feel or think. Team sports such as hockey, basketball, volleyball and all the other sports that allow us to meet in an intimate space like a locker room, sometimes turns into group therapy and again there is no need to have a problem for it to be therapeutic.

Sometimes, actually most often, you have to read between the lines, see the invisible and understand things at a different level than the one we are presented with. Take for example the communications between the league and its members by the ticket of this site or various emails or post on FB. They are not always addressed to you personally but to all the men who form the LFA.

I have been saying it for a long time since I've lived it on many occasions in my "carrier" but the other day I had the tub on while I was working on league stuff and a former member of the Ducks organization if I remember well mentioned on RDS that their coach had ordered them to go take "a" beer together to get to know each other and create chemistry within the team. And from what he says, it worked !

One is forced to admit that we have ad a tuff start to the season with a festival of absences week after week in the central division. The abnormally warm weather is no longer the reason I believe but more so a busy famely agenda. It is not the end of the world as long as we have enough substitutes to fill the gap. But it is certain that when half of the team is composed of "subs" cohesion is rarely to be seen.

Following unprecedented cancellations in the history of the LFA last weekend due to what I understand beeing good weather and family pressure, the games played will not count in the rankings of the season. So it is this coming weekend that the season will starts for real in our central division! .......... I hope !!

Unlike our satellite division and the lucky ones who took part in our matches against Davos last week, most of you did not play so it is Saturday that the regular season will start in our central division and it promises to be a good one!

I think we can say that the 2017-2018 season of the LFA started on the right foot, first with a very nice pre-season BBQ a few days before the start of the calendar followed by hotly disputed games with as a bonus very lively locker rooms , one of the benefits that come from de pre-season BBQ and league's efforts to create bridges between players.
