A WELL DESERVED BREAK

We have played two games in the regular season, and yet this first Saturday of break will be welcome to many. Not that the players have less desire to jump on the ice, but this break will allow everyone to put his affairs in order, to enjoy family life or to take a break after a bad performance. On the side of the league's administration, this break will allow for further analysis of forces and to spend more time getting to fill the holes caused by injuries and repeated absences.

THE 2016-2017 CAPTAINS ARE...

In hockey history, captains have had an important role to play that goes beyond a letter stamped on their jersey and giving them the right to discuss with the referees. The captains were not always the best offensive players or the best defensemen; even tough several examples prove the opposite. To Wayne Gretzky and Mario Lemieux we can add Maurice Richard and Jean Béliveau. But we can also find captains appointed for their leadership and personality and who never won the scoring championship as Scott Stevens and Dustin Brown.

AND THE FINALISTS ARE...

The last playoff games of the LFA 2016 Summer Season took place yesterday. Initially, five of the six teams could expect to participate in the Championship Game. Each team absolutely needed to win their game. At the end of the evening, the two best teams were known: Sébastien Marchand's Avengers and Alex Paré's Vipers will face off against each other next Sunday during our Championship Game.
