NEW STUFF IN THE LEAGUE

Last Sunday, those who were present at the arena of the Notre-Dame College have noticed that a new set of jerseys was used for the first time in the game between the Avengers and Loggers. As the main colors of the uniforms of those teams are black and royal blue, some had difficulty identifying their teammates in the heat of action. After using the orange-white-black all-stars jerseys, teams with similar colors can now wear the white with black and red stripes uniform. This ninth collection of jerseys will be use when needed.

Last Sunday, the LFA hosted the third female player in its history. After Maguy Deslauriers and Julie Desjardins, it was the turn of Mélanie Desrochers to wear one of the LFA's uniform. She impressed more than one regular player, who may not be expecting so much talent and confidence in her game. Yet the former NCAA hockey player probably has more experience under her blades than many male players in the league.

DAY OF TRADES IN THE  LFA

After an exhibition game and four regular season games, the league's selection committee proceeded to light exchanges to strengthen the teams who lacks cohesion and talent and weaken those who find the way to victory no matter their opponent . Exchanges always aim to achieve a balance in the league and allow, when successful, each team to win and have a chance to reach the playoffs. In all cases, the experience of past years has shown that we should not overly weaken the strongest and make them weeker than the team who was previously the weekest.
